FBA CHAMBER LUNCHES
This program allows a small group of attorneys to have lunch with a federal judge. The setting provides for more informal and candid discussions and, in particular, can help young lawyers feel more comfortable talking with Judges and appearing in court. Six Chamber Lunch events are scheduled throughout the year.
FBA Members are encouraged to bring prospective new members to these events, and should keep checking the FBA Calendar for additional scheduled events.

FBA Monthly Chapter Events: A Chapter tradition, these monthly CLE events are designed to address topics of interest of federal practitioners and jurists. All of the events afford the opportunity for attorneys to work collaboratively with members of the federal bench in a variety of settings. Many of the events also provide the opportunity to for attorneys to earn CLE credits. Some include a luncheon, some are longer and most have a registration fee.

Holiday Party: Each year the Chapter hosts a party in December to celebrate the holidays.

Periodic Subcommittee Meetings: The Chicago Chapter is in the process of developing federal practice subcommittees which will plan periodic meetings of interested members, to be announced on the calendar. The subcommittees will include Immigration Law, Employment &lt Labor Law, Federal Criminal Law, Social Security Law, Federal Tax Law, Bankruptcy Law and Federal Litigation in the Northern District and the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Annual Ethics Program: Four hours of Illinois Ethics CLE credit are offered to FBA Chicago Chapter members FREE OF CHARGE in May each year. Be sure to put this event on your calendar.

Member Appreciation Program: In June, the Chicago Chapter dedicates an event to long-time Board Member Hon. James B. Moran, who died in 2009. This event is a evening reception with a short program that focuses on the history of the federal courts in our region. All members are invited and there is no charge.
