Seventh Annual Employment Law Seminar

Seventh Annual Employment Law Seminar

On January 13, 2020, over 100 employment law practitioners and members of the government and federal judiciary met at Freeborn & Peters LLP for the Federal Bar Association Chicago Chapter’s Seventh Annual Employment Law Seminar.

In this 4-hour seminar, panelists discussed a wide array of employment law issues affecting federal practice, including the effects of the #MeToo movement on litigation, enforcement and litigation priorities from the DOL, NLRB and EEOC, and the evolving landscape of laws affecting our changing workforce. In the final panel, attendees had the benefit of hearing from four Northern District of Illinois judges about best practices concerning dispositive motions, discovery, settlement, and employment issues specifically. Attendees then had the opportunity to meet informally with the judges and their colleagues during the cocktail hour following the program.
