Suja A. Thomas, a professor at the University of Illinois College of Law, is the author of the recently published book The Missing American Jury: Restoring the Fundamental Constitutional Role of the Criminal, Civil and Grand Juries. Professor Thomas will discuss how the role of the American jury in our legal system has eroded and how it can be restored to the prominent role that the Constitution envisioned.
