Chambers Lunch with Judge Maldonado

On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, the Federal Bar Association Chicago Chapter invites its members to a private lunch with Hon. Nancy L. Maldonado. This in-person gathering will take place in the South Conference Room 2753 on the 27th Floor of the Dirksen United States Courthouse, located at 219 S. Dearborn Street, Chicago, IL 60604.
Open exclusively to FBA member attorneys, this event is limited to just 12 participants and offers a rare opportunity to engage with Judge Maldonado in a small, informal setting. While attendance is complimentary, there is a $25 fee to cover lunch from Inspiration Kitchens, advertising, and related administrative costs for the event.
About Hon. Nancy L. Maldonado
Hon. Nancy Lee Maldonado is a United States Circuit Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, a position she has held since 2024. She previously served as a United States District Judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois from 2022 to 2024, becoming the first Hispanic woman to serve as a federal judge on that court. A Chicago native, Judge Maldonado earned her B.A., cum laude, from Harvard College and her J.D. from Columbia Law School.
Before joining the federal bench, Judge Maldonado clerked for Judge Rubén Castillo and spent nearly two decades at Miner, Barnhill & Galland, first as an associate and later as a partner, focusing on complex civil rights and public interest litigation. In 2024, she was elevated to the Seventh Circuit, becoming the first Hispanic judge to serve on that court. Her career reflects a deep commitment to public service, rigorous legal analysis, and the fair administration of justice at both the trial and appellate levels.
