Hon. Edmond E. Chang
The Honorable Edmond E. Chang is a District Judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He has served as an adjunct professor at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law since 1996. Before joining the court, Judge Chang worked for a decade as an Assistant U. S. Attorney in Chicago, including as the Criminal Division’s Chief of Appeals.
Hon. Virginia M. Kendall
The Honorable Virginia M. Kendall is a District Judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She has served as an adjunct professor at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law since 1993 and an adjunct professor at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law since 2006. Before joining the court, Judge Kendall served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Chicago.
Hon. Andrea R. Wood
The Honorable Andrea R. Wood is a District Judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Before joining the court, Judge Wood worked for the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement, including serving as a Senior Trial Counsel.
Christina M. Egan
Christina M. Egan is the managing partner of the McGuireWoods LLP’s Chicago office, and her practice focuses on government investigations and white collar litigation. Before joining McGuireWoods, Christina served 10 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Chicago, including four years as deputy chief. She is currently an adjunct professor at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, teaching a seminar on federal RICO law.
Mark Filip
Mark Filip is a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and leads the firm’s government enforcement defense and internal investigations group. Among his most notable representations, he led BP’s defense in the Justice Department’s criminal investigation of the Deepwater Horizon explosion and resulting oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Before joining Kirkland, Mark served as Deputy Attorney General of the United States. He also previously served four years as a District Judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Chicago.
Wendy J. Muchman
Wendy J. Muchman is a Senior Lecturer at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. She was formerly an Adjunct Professor of Legal Ethics at Northwestern from 2000 to 2014 and has taught legal ethics courses at other Chicago law schools. Wendy is currently the Chief of Litigation and Professional Education at the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission.
Lawrence Oliver II
Lawrence Oliver II is the Boeing Company’s Chief Counsel of Investigations. He manages the company’s legal investigations, government inquiries, and related litigation, on a global basis. Before joining Boeing in 2004, Lawrence was a partner at Perkins Coie LLP and worked on high profile investigations such as the one involving the E2 Nightclub stampede that killed 21 people. He also previously served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Chicago.
Reid J. Schar
Reid J. Schar is a partner at Jenner & Block LLP and co-chairs the firm’s White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice. As an example of his notable investigative work, Reid served as one of the team leaders investigating and producing an internal report for the General Motors Company (the “Valukas Report”) regarding events leading up to the recall of various vehicle ignition switches. Before joining Jenner, he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Chicago for 13 years. He has served as an adjunct professor at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law since 2002.
