Passing Of Judge Darrah

Passing of Judge Darrah

Today, the portrait of the Honorable John “Jack” Darrah moves to the east wall of the James B. Parsons Courtroom at the Dirksen Building. Judge Darrah was a cherished member of our chapter. As well as jurist, colleague, friend, and mentor, he was also a guiding principal in chartering the chapter’s student division at the John Marshall Law School. Throughout his career, Judge Darrah served as a model of wisdom, fairness, and impartiality (except in major league baseball, where he was a keen White Sox partisan). Our chapter extends our deepest condolences to Judge Darrah’s family. We will miss him.

For more about Judge Darrah and observances to honor him, please see the District Court’s website and the Daily Herald’s obituary.
