Pro Tips On Effective Oral Advocacy For Young Attorneys

Pro Tips on Effective Oral Advocacy for Young Attorneys

Over 45 lawyers, law clerks, and law students gathered today at the Dirksen Building to attend Pro Tips on Effective Oral Advocacy for Young Attorneys sponsored by the chapter’s Younger Lawyers’ Division. Veterans from the civil and criminal bars—well as from the bench—offered tips on effectively advocating for clients at all stages of litigation, including at trial, motion hearings, and status hearings. Younger lawyers also learned the nuances of oral advocacy depending on the type of client, the stage of the litigation, and the strengths and weaknesses of the case. It was a dynamic and engaging conversation for all who attended.
