Hon. Nancy L. Maldonado Hosts Chambers Luncheon with FBA Chicago Chapter

On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, Hon. Nancy L. Maldonado hosted a private chambers luncheon with members of the Federal Bar Association (FBA) Chicago Chapter at the Dirksen United States Courthouse in Chicago, Illinois. The event took place from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in South Conference Room 2753 on the 27th floor at 219 S. Dearborn Street.

About the March Chambers Luncheon

The luncheon was limited to 12 FBA member attorneys, offering a small-group setting for direct engagement with Hon. Nancy L. Maldonado. Lunch was provided by Inspiration Kitchens, and a $25 fee covered the meal and related event costs. The FBA Chicago Chapter periodically hosts chambers luncheons, providing member attorneys an opportunity to engage with members of the federal judiciary in an informal setting.

About Hon. Nancy L. Maldonado, U.S. Circuit Court Judge

Hon. Nancy L. Maldonado currently serves as a United States Circuit Judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, a position she has held since 2024. She previously served as a United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois from 2022 to 2024, becoming the first Hispanic woman to serve as a federal judge on that court.

In 2024, she was elevated to the Seventh Circuit, becoming the first Hispanic judge to serve on that court. A Chicago native, Judge Maldonado earned her B.A., cum laude, from Harvard College and her J.D. from Columbia Law School. Prior to joining the bench, she spent nearly two decades at Miner, Barnhill & Galland, focusing on complex civil rights and public interest litigation.
